I'm a speaker/friend/youth/collaborator/other. Do I have to register and pay to attend?
Yes, you do. We need to keep track of each and every one of you so we're well-prepared at conference time, plus the fees are necessary to cover the costs of putting on a conference of this size.
Once you register
, you will be asked to click on a button to go to PayPal, where you can choose your registration category (Student, Adult with Youth, or Regular Registration). You will have the option to use an existing PayPal account, your business/government credit card, or mail in a check.
My agency/organization doesn't have a credit card. Can I pay by check?
Yes, there is a simple way to do this at the BOTTOM of the registration form. This means you have to fill out the entire registration form, then click "Other Payment Options" underneath the PayPal button. Instructions for Pay by Check will appear.
They are here as well, just in case:
Pay by check: Please make the check out to ISIS, Inc. and mail with ticket receipt printout to:
409 13th St, 14th Floor
Oakland, CA 94612
Be sure to include the full name and contact information of the person(s) attending the conference.
What's included in the registration price?
We will have an exceptional program of plenaries and breakouts designed to inspire you in your work year-round. The conference will also include a continental breakfast, as well as snacks and beverages throughout the day.
Are there any scholarships available?
Not currently, but young people can attend the entire event for the low cost of $50. Adults who are struggling with cost are encouraged to bring a youth or young adult and register both for the entire conference for $250.
Can I buy my ticket now and get a refund if I change my mind?
We’re sorry but there are no refunds. If you purchase a ticket and are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your registration to a friend or colleague; please just let us know so we can make them their own name badge.
This sounds exciting! How else can I get involved?
There are many ways you can get involved. You can become a conference sponsor
, or volunteer. If you are interested in volunteering to help out at the event, call us at 510-835-9400 or send email to: email@example.com
Is the Conference being held at the same hotel as the previous years?
will host this year’s conference at the same location as last year, the newly renovated and historic Stanford Court Renaissance Hotel
at the top of Nob Hill. Directions and details can be found here
Is this conference for real?
Yes, it is. It is the culmination of efforts and ideas put forth by youth, academics, health professionals and youth advocates. We are bringing together many disciplines for the conference, including: adolescent sexual health, sex education, HIV prevention, STD prevention and the sexual literacy movement. It's very exciting! Everyone behind the conference has degrees and experience. We're for real. ;-)
