Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) – BART is a rapid transit system serving the San Francisco Bay Area. It connects San Francisco with cities in the East Bay and suburbs in northern San Mateo County, including San Francisco and Oakland Airports. The closest BART station to the Stanford Court Hotel is Powell Street Station.

From San Francisco International Airport (SFO): 
There is a BART station located in the International Terminal of San Francisco International Airport (SFO) that will take passengers to downtown San Francisco.Board any San Francisco bound train and exit at the Powell Street Station. BART fare from SFO to the Powell Street Station is about $6 per person one way. Exit the Powell Street Station then follow walking/cable car directions to the hotel.

From Oakland International Airport:
AIRBART buses leave each Oakland International Airport terminal every 15 minutes and arrive at the Coliseum BART station. AIRBART fare is $4.00 per person one way. From the Coliseum Station, ride any San Francisco/Daly City bound train to the Powell Street station.Exit the Powell Street Station then follow walking/cable car directions to the hotel. From Within San Francisco (Nearest BART Station: Powell Street Station):
Take any San Francisco MUNI train to the Powell Street station. Exit the Powell Street Station then follow walking/cable car directions to the hotel.

Walking/Cable Car Directions to the Stanford Court Hotel from the Powell Street BART Station:
From the Powell Street Station, it will require a 8-block walk, cable car or taxi ride to get to the Stanford Court Hotel. Exit the Powell Street Station and walk up Powell Street eight blocks to California Street and turn left. The Stanford Court Hotel will is on the left, between Powell and Mason Streets.

Please Note: The walk up Powell Street is quite steep; plan on it taking extra time, take a taxi from Powell BART, or ride the cable car.

Cable Car: The San Francisco Cable Car is an excellent way to travel from the Powell BART station to the Stanford Court Hotel’s Nob Hill location. You can catch any of the cable cars at the Powell/Market turntable, and disembark at California and Powell.

Tickets: can be purchased with cash at turnarounds or from the conductor as you board. 

Adult & Youth (ages 5-17): $5.00 each way.
Senior (ages 65+) & Disabled: $5.00 each way ($1.00 9pm-7am)

Passes: are perfect for visitors to the city, and allow riding on streetcars, buses, and cable cars.

Accessibility Information: The cable cars are historic and not really accessible.

One good option is to take a cab from Powell Street BART; the best option for accessible cabs is Yellow Cab 415-333-333.

If you want to take an accessible bus, here are alternative directions:
-Take BART to Embarcadero station (2 stops past Powell)
-Go to Sacramento and Davis (1 block N from BART stop)
-Board the 1 Bus (going West towards 33rd and Geary)
-Get off at Sacramento and Powell
-Go one block S to 905 California Street

Airport Shuttles:
Airport Express  (415) 775 – 5121 provides services directly to the Stanford Court Hotel from the upper departure levels of the San Francisco International Airport terminal. Airport Express shuttle fare is $17.00 per person from the airport to the hotel. Airport Express service from Oakland International Airport to the hotel must be arranged in advance with reservation.

Taxis are readily available, 24 hours a day, from the lower arrival level of each San Francisco International Airport terminal. Fare from SFO to the Stanford Court Hotel is about $45 one way. Fare from the Oakland Airport to the Stanford Court Hotel is about $60 one way.
